L. Cao 8 inch alnico full range driver

The L.Cao alnico drivers seem to be an attempt to reproduce and improve upon the famous Diatone full range speakers. These are lovely drivers; superbly constructed with heavy frames and obvious attention to detail. These are drivers for enthusiasts, and in build quality they surpass most of what I have seen.

I used these in the big telefunken open backed cabinets, and the bass was adequate. No tweeter needed here, and no whizzer cone either. The sound is very laid back though, and too much so for my taste.
